Opinion time!!
Okay - so here's my debate .... daybed vs twin bed. It's for my extra room that's currently an office/sporting good storage/second closet. I hear daybeds are hard to make - any opinions or tips on that? Just thinking that maybe my lack of extra beds is the reason why visitors are so few and far between. If you have any other opinions or ideas as to why that might be - keep those to yourself - this is just open forum on which kind of bed to get! ;-) smirk

I love the look of daybeds but have never slept on one or made one up. I think a twin captain bed with storage has to be my suggestion. Victoria has one we love and since you are using your room as a multipurpose storage/guest room why not have storage you can use? And they do have some that are quite lovely to look at too. One last thing: get the best mattress you can. Just my 2 cents. :)

But if I get the best mattress I can, won't that just encourage people to stay longer? ;-) j/k What is a captain bed? I was looking at a Pottery Barn one with little storage baskets underneath.

Hmmm....for an office/sporting goods storage/closet perhaps you need something that looks less like a bed? I too enjoy the functionality of captains beds...yet wonder if something that is more chaise-lougish might work out better? Ah no matter...people who love you will come sleep on your floor :)

bunk beds would be fun! Or how about beds in the shape of handbags or shoes?

hmmm. .... picturing that ..... I have to try to consider what others would prefer. Yeah, I know, a novel thought! I'm thinking Pottery Barn Stratton Daybed with baskets at the moment. Subject to change in the next moment....
