I posted a couple videos online that are of Carson, demonstrating his first successful attempts at crawling!
I guess it was harder learning to crawl than I remember!

Go, Carson, go! Looks like he's fond of the stairs! By the way, thanks for the package that Dane received in the mail yesterday- adorable!! (And we haven't caught any nasty bugs yet, so we'll keep crossing our fingers!)

Oh my aching hands! I got this bright idea I'd save money by tearing out my own carpet and burn off a little energy that way. I kept thinking to myself how proud I'd be that I did something with my own hands and all that stuff. That lasted for about an hour or so, and then my hands and legs were absolutely killing me and I wasn't very far into what I thought should be an easy project. Dad update: Dad had surgery today to try to fix the damaged vocal chord and whatever else is causing him to choke so frequently. He made it through surgery just fine and here's mom's update: Jim had his surgery today and the Dr thought he should spend the night but Jim wanted to come home and I think he'll feel better if I'm around. The nurse gave him some juice to see how his swallow was and he choked up and the juice went flying.........so guess things aren't quite fixed yet, but at least we hope for a good recovery. He didn't panic so that was a very good thing. The cut is right in the front of his neck and is probably about two inches long, but it looks great........he has a neck collar on and a little drain which will come out tomorrow when we got up to see the Doctor.........Dr Edmond is a great guy and Jim seems to like him so that is half the battle. Anyway, we hope this will help him with his talking and swallowing and we'll have good things to ...
