I went hiking again today - this time up on Chinook Pass. I seem to have reached another milestone on the "Things I Never Thought I'd Do" list -- using OFF! bug repellent as perfume after the hike, prior to going out for dinner!! In my defense, it was the orange bottle and it does smell pretty good. I'm still shaking my head over that one!

Hey Janelle! I found your web site! Very cool- Sheep Lake. Love that place. There is a great scramble at the top of that hill where you can see over into the Crystal Lakes Basin. Have to check that out next time. Baby steps with all things, including bug spray. HUGS!

Sorry to those of you who really liked the outhouse picture - I've taken it down for now. I guess I was just so happy to see it at the end of the hike, I thought it was a beautiful sight. :-)

bHey....Is this the Naches loop trail?? If so, that was one of my favorite hikes growing up there. Sorry to say that I missed you when you were down here visiting your cousin, Nathan. How is life in yakima?

I just got back from a very fun weekend in Edmonton. I have never seen so much snow in one afternoon like I did on Friday afternoon-evening-night! It made it quite beautiful, especially when the sun came out as I was leaving today. The weekend started with a very fun twist -- a semi-blind date! A ticket to a hockey game (how great is that?!) was dropped off at Kirk and Shannon's house Friday morning. Shannon picked me up in the afternoon and I had some time to get a quick review of my date's winning qualities from Ayva. I had a slight advantage because I knew who the date was - Kirk's brother Jeff - , but it was still pretty suspenseful because I had never met him and the plan was that we would meet when we reached our seats! Pretty cool, huh? Shannon and Ayva were both pretty excited about the whole thing, so much so that Jeff apparently offered to buy them tickets a few rows back so they could be there to watch. smirk~ I didn't take any pictures, silly me, but ...
