I went hiking again today - this time up on Chinook Pass. I seem to have reached another milestone on the "Things I Never Thought I'd Do" list -- using OFF! bug repellent as perfume after the hike, prior to going out for dinner!! In my defense, it was the orange bottle and it does smell pretty good. I'm still shaking my head over that one!

Hey Janelle! I found your web site! Very cool- Sheep Lake. Love that place. There is a great scramble at the top of that hill where you can see over into the Crystal Lakes Basin. Have to check that out next time. Baby steps with all things, including bug spray. HUGS!

Sorry to those of you who really liked the outhouse picture - I've taken it down for now. I guess I was just so happy to see it at the end of the hike, I thought it was a beautiful sight. :-)

bHey....Is this the Naches loop trail?? If so, that was one of my favorite hikes growing up there. Sorry to say that I missed you when you were down here visiting your cousin, Nathan. How is life in yakima?

Oh my aching hands! I got this bright idea I'd save money by tearing out my own carpet and burn off a little energy that way. I kept thinking to myself how proud I'd be that I did something with my own hands and all that stuff. That lasted for about an hour or so, and then my hands and legs were absolutely killing me and I wasn't very far into what I thought should be an easy project. After booking a massage appointment, I realized that if I got a massage for every 1 hour of work I put in, I wasn't going to be saving much money after all! CleanMED - final day

 Oh boy…this is it!  It just hit me today around 5:30 PM that I actually have to think about what I’m going to cook tomorrow!  It has been SO NICE not needing to think about cooking/preparing food for this past month. I had my moment of panic but I do have one mini reprieve: I never needed use the emergency meals they send you home with on Day 1. They do that in case something happens and you can’t make it in to pick up food. I never needed them so … vegetarian chili is what is for lunch tomorrow! Tomorrow morning I’ll be trying to remember how to scramble eggs and where I put all my stuff for doing that!  ðŸ¤ª Tomorrow morning are my final measurements and my final labs. I’m really excited to see the results and hope they continue to be going in the right direction.  Fingers crossed! 🤞 Instant gratification has been pretty nice, seeing changes after just 2-3 weeks, but I understand with more time they will continue to improve if I stick with it.
